 | Fall 2008 College-Adult Sunday School Electives Classes continue on Sundays.
New Believers Class
Bob & Anna Lum, 8:45 a, E-10 Peter admonished young believers to desire the pure milk of the word in order to grow. If you are a fairly recent believer and have that desire to grow and become established in the faith, then this class is for you.
Topics include: How to study the Bible, an overview of the Bible, attributes of God, Jesus Christ's Diety and work, the plan of salvation, the Holy Spirit, prayer, evangelism, and obedience, etc.
Though primarily for new believers, the material benefits anyone who has never gone through a study of the fundamentals of the Christian faith in a systematic way, and would like to become more grounded in these topics, blending basic biblical truths with personal obedience. Study of the Book of Acts George Yee, 8:45 a, E-12The Book of Acts gives today's Christian basic information and insights into the early church. Dr. Luke portrays the tensions, persecutions, frustrations, theological problems, and hopes confronting the young bride of Christ. Acts presents a stimulating challenge to every Christian today. The zeal, faith, joy, commitment, and obedience of those early saints is an example for all believers today. Learn all about it as we study Acts together.
Church ? Greg Ginn, 11:20 a, E-23The topic of the church is as popular today as it has ever been. Modifiers like simple, organic, and emerging have joined the likes of words like traditional, orthodox, and Presbyterian to describe churches across the globe. The purpose of this class is to ask and answer the fundamental questions of Who? What? When? Where? Why? and How? concerning the church. And rather than take our cues from the culture, from the business world or even from what is familiar, our primary purpose is to receive our instructions from Holy Scripture.
